Why choose bespoke?

Designed around the way you use your table

Precise dimensions

Order to your required measurements rather than trying to make an off-the-shelf size work. This is ideal for replacement tops and one-off furniture projects.

More than rectangles

Choose from common shapes such as circles, squares and rectangles, or ask about unusual outlines, radius corners, notches and other fabrication requirements.

Finish to suit your room

Clear glass keeps the furniture underneath visible. Low iron gives a cleaner, more neutral appearance, while satin and tinted options can add privacy, softness or colour.

Polished edge • rounded corner
Edge and corner details should be selected before toughening, because toughened glass cannot be cut or altered afterwards.
Glass options

Choose the right glass table top finish

Clear toughened glass

A versatile choice for dining tables, coffee tables and furniture protectors. Standard clear glass can show a subtle green tone, particularly at the edge.

Low iron toughened glass

Designed for maximum clarity with less of the natural green tint associated with standard clear float glass. A popular choice where the colour of the furniture underneath matters.

Satin & tinted glass

Satin provides a softer, more diffused appearance, while tinted glass can introduce a grey or coloured design element. Availability depends on the configuration selected.

Common applications

Glass table tops for indoor and outdoor furniture

Dining table glass

Give a dining table a clean contemporary surface while allowing a timber, metal or decorative base to remain visible.

Glass coffee table tops

Replace a cracked or missing top, refresh an older table or create a new look around an existing coffee table frame.

Rattan & garden table glass

Replace damaged patio furniture glass with a made-to-measure top. Round, square and rectangular options are available, with parasol holes possible where suitable.

Desk & office table tops

Protect a desk or create a sleek glass work surface for a bespoke office or commercial furniture project.

Sideboard & furniture protectors

Use a custom-cut glass protector over timber, painted or decorative furniture to help shield the surface from everyday wear.

Bespoke furniture

For one-off bases, unusual outlines and design-led furniture, specify the shape and fabrication details before manufacture.

Outdoor furniture

Replacement glass for rattan and garden tables

A broken garden table top does not necessarily mean replacing the whole table. A replacement glass top can give rattan, patio and outdoor furniture a new lease of life.

For outdoor furniture, we can produce made-to-measure shapes and, where appropriate, a parasol hole . Measure the existing top carefully and make sure the supporting frame is suitable for the replacement glass.

Our current range includes toughened options designed for furniture applications, with several thicknesses and finishes available through the online ordering system.

A round replacement top can be made with a central parasol opening where the design and measurements allow.
Choosing thickness

What thickness should a glass table top be?

There is no single thickness that is right for every table. The correct specification depends on the top's dimensions, how it is supported, whether it is a protector or a structural tabletop, and how it will be used.

Use What to consider Our advice
Furniture protector Usually supported continuously by the surface underneath. A suitable thinner glass option may be appropriate; confirm the specification for your application.
Coffee or side table Size, support points and whether the glass forms the actual tabletop. Choose an appropriate toughened thickness based on the complete design.
Dining table Larger spans and heavier everyday use can require a thicker specification. Consider the span and support before ordering; ask us if you are unsure.
Large bespoke top Glass weight, support structure, dimensions and delivery requirements all matter. Contact our team before ordering so we can help confirm a suitable specification.

Thickness options on our table-top range currently extend from 4mm to 19mm. The appropriate thickness is application-specific rather than simply “the thicker the better”.

How to order your bespoke glass tabletop

Measure carefully

Measure the required length, width or diameter in millimetres. For replacement tops, check the furniture frame and existing glass before ordering.

Choose the shape and glass

Select the shape, glass type and thickness that suit your project. Consider low iron if you want maximum clarity.

Add fabrication details

Select edge finishes, radius corners, holes, notches or other available options. These details must be completed before toughening.

Review before ordering

Made-to-measure items are produced to the specifications you submit, so check every measurement and option before confirming your order.

Important measurement note

Toughened glass cannot be cut, drilled or reshaped after it has been toughened. If you need a hole for a parasol, fittings or cable management, include it in the specification before manufacture.

For unusual shapes or requirements that are difficult to enter online, contact our team before placing your order.

Care & everyday use

Easy to clean and made for everyday furniture

Clean regularly

Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and a suitable glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that could mark the surface.

Protect the surface

Although toughened glass is designed for strength, normal furniture care still matters. Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the surface.

Check the support

For a structural tabletop, make sure the base, legs and support points are suitable for the finished glass size and weight.
